2017 Toro Green Blazer Goes to Reinders’ Grant Rundblade

Grant Rundblade, SCPS, of Reinders, Inc. received the prestigious Green Blazer Award for his accomplishments in Toro Equipment sales. It recognizes individuals who are “contributing to the industry and bringing enhanced knowledge to their customers.” Grant has been selling for Reinders since 2014. He previously won Toro’s Rookie of the Year award in 2015.

Midwestern superintendents, turfgrass managers, and assistants descended upon Cog Hill, just southwest of Chicago, for a seminar on plant health nutrition. Numerous speakers were on hand including Tom Weinert and Greg Moore of Plant Food Company, Inc., while industry-renowned professor Dr. Bruce Clark spoke about Rutgers 2017 university research.

The Goose Deuce Nuisance

Grazing geese can cause quite a bit of harm to golf course-quality turfgrass. They flock to greens, fairways, lakes and ponds – hallowed turf in the eyes of a superintendent. Similarly, business, park and grounds managers don’t want geese on their properties, walkways and fields. Their trail of feathers and, well, “goose deuce” isn’t hard to miss.
