A good turfgrass supplier doesn’t stop by to just sell grass seed or drop off a sample of fertilizer. You want someone who cares about your work, who will sit down and help build a budget based on dollar restrictions and needs on the course. Getting to know a customer’s irrigation and mowing strategies, whether they roll and mow and how often — these are just as important as talking grass seed, fertilizer and application. Honesty and knowledge are often more valuable than a product itself.
