Top Qs with Midwest Landscape Contractors

What are you focusing on in 2018? What\’s the solution to the lack of labor?

Reinders recently joined landscape professionals from Wisconsin and Illinois for the three-day 2018 iLandscape Show. More than 6,000 people attended the ILCA-managed event, looking to see new products, take in education and network with their peers. The tradeshow was held at Schaumburg Convention Center with extravagant booth layouts, outdoor living designs and relaxation areas with games and other fun activities. In addition to the tradeshow, professionals come from all over the midwest to learn and network with fellow industry members.

iLandscape touts three full days of education, in addition to an irrigation workshop, with topics ranging from garden design for an aging populationthe environmental impact of landscape maintenance, and customer service vs. customer experience. This year’s keynote speaker was Pete Nelson, star of Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters. Pete’s motto, “If you dream it, you can build it” surely rings true in regards to the contractors and their clients’ requests 🙂

In an effort to learn about the challenges and areas of focus for Midwest landscapers in 2018, we chatted with a handful of attendees who shared their thoughts on the upcoming year. Watch the video and let us know what you think.
